Web browsers supported
In July 2004, the UTS Library changed its policy from writing web pages suitable for certain browsers to writing web pages that comply with W3C standards. Any web browser that supports the following standards should display our web pages correctly:
- HTML 4.01
- XHTML 1.0
- CSS 2.1 (we try to limit it to CSS 2.0)
- JavaScript 1.5
Unfortunately, not all web browsers implement the standards in the same way. Due to limited resources, we are only able to test and support web pages operating on following platforms.
- Windows XP: IE 6.0.2900.2180, IE 7.0.5730.11 or Firefox 2.0.0.3
- Mac OS X 10.3.9: Safari 1.3.2 (v312.6) or Firefox 2.0.0.3
- Ubuntu 6.10: Firefox 2.0.0.3 (the version distributed with Ubuntu 6.10)
If you experience difficulty accessing our website and you are using a supported platform, please make sure you have applied all updates to both the operating system and web browser.
