Visualise your data in Google

by Ashley England @ UTS Library

Have you ever been to the 'even more' section in Google's drop down list? Here you will find Google labs, where Google experiments with new products such as Google Body and the Art Project. This is where I first discovered Google's Public Data Explorer, a project which draws on large datasets from around the world and makes them easy to manipulate and visualise.

An example of the type of visualisation available using the public data explorer.

Google has now made it possible for you do upload your own data. Once uploaded you can create and share visualisations of the data - all for free!

I'd love to know if you use Google's data explorer and would be happy to share any tips of embed any visualisations in the blog.
