How many times can I renew an item online?
I borrowed a book and want to renew it online but I'm not allowed to because I'm told that I've renewed too many times. Does it mean that I must return it before the latest due date or I'll get a penalty?

Hi Huan,
Hi Huan,
The amount of renewals you can get for an item depends on a few things - whether it's our book or a BONUS book and whether you are a UTS student or a community borrower, and whether the book has been reserved by another patron. This webpage lays out all of the various information you'll need https://www.lib.uts.edu.au/borrow/borrow-renewhttps://www.lib.uts.edu.au/borrow/borrow-renew
If indeed you are unable to renew an item for any reason it will incur late fees after the date that it is due. These fees vary also depending on the type of book you have borrowed but for 'general loan items' the late fee is $1 per day per book.
Hope this helps,
David @ UTS Library
