Personal researchers

UTS Library welcomes community members engaged in personal research. Those engaged in personal research are able to use the Library as a day visitor up to 5 times a year free of charge. Please refer to the Day Visitor page for details of this service. Applicants for personal research membership should not be enrolled in an award course of study.

Library access - (Opal membership)

If you wish to have access to the Library without borrowing from the collection, you may be eligible to apply for our general access which will cost you $5 a year and allow you to have unlimited access to the Library. The $5 charge covers the cost of the card to the Library.

Borrowing access - (Emerald membership)

You can apply for access to the Library including borrowing from the Library collection as a community member. The fee for this service is $220 per annum.
