The “Setting up the workspace” training is designed to provide participants with education on basic ergonomic principles and self-management strategies. It is a practical and interactive 1 hour training session with emphasis on correct posture and ergonomics to help prevent potential injury in the workplace. Topics covered include:

  • What is ergonomics?
  • Anatomy of the spine.
  • What can cause pain at a workstation?
  • How to adjust your workstation :- Chair, mouse, keyboard, monitor, work surface, document holder, laptops, tablets and sit/stand desks.
  • Exercises and stretches

 Heba Abdelrahman
 Occupational Therapist

Heba Abdelrahman is an Occupational Therapist with over 15 years’ experience in occupational rehabilitation and injury management. She specialises in ergonomic training and assessments with over 1000 assessments completed assisting employers to increase the wellbeing of their staff members, maximise productivity and reduce the risk of injuries associated with poor workstation set-up.
