Producing a high quality literature review is a challenging task. In this workshop, you will take charge of this personal and intellectual process. You will learn the secrets of success and common pitfalls in deciding the focus, selecting texts for review, interpreting and engaging critically with them, ordering and synthesising what was found and writing the final account. 

Suitable for HDRs, ECRs, MCRs, Senior researchers, research support staff & anyone wanting to know more about literature reviews.

Dr Lien Pham, Lecturer, Graduate Research School. 

Dr Lien has been working with HDR students since 2014 in research methodology, qualitative data analysis and academic writing in the social sciences and humanities. She has presented seminars and workshops on qualitative research methodology for universities in Vietnam and Malaysia. Lien has also consulted for various NSW government agencies in high profile policy-driven research and program evaluations, and multilateral organisations including UNESCO Bangkok on educational policy reforms.
