Library Databases

These are a good starting point for many health related topics, but feel free to Ask a Librarian if you need help identifying a database for your topic.
  • Google Scholar - broad database that can help you identify keywords, prolific authors, relevant journal titles and see cited by data.
     
  • CINAHL - Nursing and allied health database and highly recommended.
     
  • Medline (Ovid) - broad biomedical database produced by the National Library of Medicine (USA).
     
  • ProQuest Health and Medicine - broad health database which includes grey literature.
     
  • Psycinfo - covers many aspects of psychology including nursing.
     
  • Health Collection (Informit) - smaller database but has more Australian content.
