Physiotherapy: Databases

The Library has a number of databases for Physiotherapy students. You can see a list of these databases here.

Some great databases include:

  • Medline - contains international biomedical literature. A great resource for evidence-based practice searches. 
  • CINAHL - Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature. Contains journals on alternative and complementary medicine, as well as other topics. 
  • PEDro - Physiotherapy evidence database. Contains bibliographic details and abstracts of Physiotherapy randomised controlled trials, systematic reviews, and clinical guidelines.
  • Acland's Video Atlas of Human Anatomy - contains videos of human anatomy. Contains quizzes and a glossary of terms.
  • ETG Complete - contains peer-reviewed clinical guidelines.
  • UpToDate - a clinical decision system that uses current evidence to answer clinical questions.
