What is OpenCourseWare?

OpenCourseWare (OCW) are course lessons created by educational institutions and published for free via the Internet. Online course content ranges from syllabus, lecture slides, videos to assignments and exams.

MIT OpenCourseWare - Biology

MIT's School of Science offers undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral training programs through this OpenCourseWare including an extensive collection of course content: syllabus, reading lists, lecture notes, videos, exams and assignments. Videos can be downloaded from iTunes U (MP4) and Internet Archive (MP4).

Some courses offer translated versions, mainly in Simplified Chinese.

LearnersTV is an online educational video resource aggregator and provides links to high quality educational materials including those owned by LearnersTV. This website provides free biology video lecture courses, Biology Animations and Biology lecture notes.

The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL)

NPTEL, funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, has developed curriculum based course contents for more than 240 engineering courses in five disciplines at  the undergraduate level, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and basic courses for semester 1& 2 students.
