Below is a list of databases which are great for systematic reviews:

  • The Cochrane Library (Wiley Online Library) Includes the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews - the gold standard for evidence.

  • MEDLINE (OVID) Medline (Ovid) is one of the largest biomedical databases available through UTS Library. It's mostly used to find journal articles written by researchers from around the world. Medline covers the areas of allied health, biological and physical sciences, humanities and information science as they relate to medicine and healthcare, communication disorders, and reproductive biology. You can limit your results to systematic reviews through ‘Additional Limits’.

  • EMBASE: Excerpta Medica (Ovid)a biomedical and pharmacological database containing bibliographic records with citations, abstracts and indexing derived from biomedical articles in peer reviewed journals, and is especially strong in its coverage of drug and pharmaceutical research. You can limit your results to systematic reviews through ‘Additional Limits’.
