Interior & Spatial Models by UTS Students

On display from 1 September - 25 September, 2015
Library Foyer, Level 2, City Campus Library
Exhibition Launch on September 9

The City of Sydney Council area currently has no public school within its borders. Spurred on by a massive increase in residential housing at both Barangaroo and Green Square, the City of Sydney has become a critical site in the search for a new education facility. A search for a public school in the heart of the city – a very high high school.

The works from UTS Interior & Spatial Design Honours and Masters students breaks the rules of traditional school design to house 2000 students in Sydney’s Central Business District. The books and models on display demonstrate ideas that challenge traditional notions of morphology and autonomy in search of ideas that afford spatial and economic viability within the regulations and constraints of the existing city.

Be sure to take a look at these impressive models in the Library Foyer on Level 2 of the City Campus Library.
