Exhibition & Seminar - Remembering Slavery: Recognition, Justice and Development

International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade is a chance to remember and honour those who suffered from the violent system of slavery. The day serves to remind us of the lasting effects of racism and prejudice that still exist today.

Join UTS Library and Anti-Slavery Australia in partnership with the United Nations Information Centre, Canberra for an exhibition and seminar.

Speakers include:

Aminata Conteh-Biger, Founder and CEO of The Aminata Maternal Foundation, an organisation established to improve maternal mortality outcomes for women and babies in Sierra Leone
Christopher Woodthrope, Director United Nations Information Centre, Canberra
Professor Jennifer Burn, Director Anti-Slavery Australia at UTS
