UTS Library
UTS Library has two campus libraries: the City Campus Library and the Kuring-gai Campus Library. The University runs a shuttle bus between the campuses. A timetable [2] and maps [3] are available on the UTS website.
A series of Library tours (see Tours and Workshops [4]) are run at the beginning of each semester. The tours are free and there is no need to book.
Entry to the City Campus Library is via swipe card so you will need your Student ID card with you when you visit.
Your Library card
Your Student ID card is also your Library card. You will need to have your Student ID card with you when you wish to borrow or use the photocopying machines.
Getting connected
The Library website provides access to the catalogue, journals, databases, course readings, lecture notes, texts and more.

- computer labs on campus
- from home or work
You will need your student number and your UTS Webmail password to access some of the Library's online resources.
Make sure you activate your UTS Webmail account [5] now if you haven’t already done so.
Printing and photocopying
There are printers, photocopiers (B&W and colour) and scanners in both Campus Libraries.
An A4 sheet (B&W) costs 11 cents. A4 colour sheet costs 55 cents. Scanning costs 4 cents per page.
Before you print or photocopy, you need to add credit to your online account either using cash or EFTPOS facilities available in the Library.

You will also need your student number and Webmail password to print from the Library’s computers.
International students
UTS Orientation Program [6] is offered before the start of each semester. Extra sessions are offered to meet the specific need of International students.
The Library’s Information Skills Program provides students with Library Tours & Workshops [4] to help students build skills in finding, using and organising information. You can book a session online.
The International Cultural and News Centre (ICNC) collection [7] includes overseas newspapers, magazines, travel guides and cultural books. The ICNC [8] is located in the City Campus (Blake Library) on Level 4.
The International Students [9] section contains helpful information for all international students and a range of Chinese information resources. The International Librarian can assist you with your specific queries.
