Thinking [1]

Look back at the homepage [2]. Employers, students and graduates say that group/team work is a core professional skill. Acquire it now and add it to your CV.

REFLECTIVE ASSESSMENT TASKS

Why reflect?

...To make connections between

  • theory and practice
  • past knowledge and new knowledge
  • concepts and evidence
  • the literature and personal experience
  • beliefs and observations
  • thoughts and feelings
  • you and other students
  • you and academic staff.

...To fully engage with the assignment: to formulate, simplify, evaluate and reframe ideas, test a theory, make comparisons.

If you haven't a formal reflective assessment task, it makes sense to have a final meeting in which you think back on the experience. Download the Group reflection exercise [5] (PDF)
