eBooks and eReaders Workshop

Come learn about UTS Library's great selection of academic texts and leisure reading materials available to students and staff. This new workshop will show you how to access and download free eBooks and audiobooks to compatible devices.

Topics that will be covered:

  • What eBooks, audiobooks and eReaders are available?
  • How do I find books for academic topics?
  • How do I find books for leisure reading?
  • How do I read / download eBooks?

Please bring along your laptop, mobile device or eReader if you want to start downloading on the day.

The Librarian running this course was called away but when she comes back and runs the classes for this workshop I am sure she will be including how to download from OverDrive.

I have a Kobo e-reader. Have you heard of it, and do you think I can use the library resources with it? Thanks so much.

Hi Darien,

The Kobo does work with some of our ebook providers which allow you to download files in epub and PDF formats. The PDF reader isn't fantastic on the Kobo ereader last time I checked, but it does work. Happy to show you more in the workshop, or email me if you have a specific question: Helen.Chan@uts.edu.au.
