I've loaded and registered EndNote, running on Windows 7 64 bit. But when I need to access databases like Proquest to find citations, I have a problem accessing them. I filled in my usual login for username and password. But it says I have the wrong gateway or something to that effect. What do I need to do?

I think you are trying to use EndNote's Online searching. Unfortunately this only works for connections to library catalogues, PubMed and other free sites. Databases like ProQuest have password problems as you discovered, that cannot be resolved. To download citations from a database into EndNote you should search the database directly and then use Direct Export. There is a handout about this at the bottom of our EndNote page [9].
