It says I need to login via the "menu on the left", but there is no such menu. I've even tried searching the source code of the webpage for such things and no luck.

You can locate SuperSearch [9] under FIND on the top nav bar. There is a login on the SuperSearch page it is the last link in the bullet poiints.
