Why does Endnote X5 for Windows XP keep crashing while I'm using Cite While You Write?
Hi there, Endnote X5 keeps crashing when I use CWYW on one particular computer (it doesn't on my other laptop). I use CWYW for a while (up to a couple of hours) on any word doc, then it crashes. I go into Word Options> Add-ins> click on Disabled Items to get Endnote re-enabled on my computer, so that's all good. But I want it to stop disabling in the first place. What should I be looking for to sort out this problem once and for all?

I've noted on the EndNote site that Windows XP should be compatible with EndNote, so long as you have 'service pack 3' installed. There is actually a checklist of features for EndNote X5 to work ... on this page [10] .. it's possible that XP isn't causing the problem but some other aspect of your computer isn't performing quite to the level that EndNote requires and that after a while of use the computer is over worked and chucks it in.
