Hi, should I use full format of citation and reference list in powerpoint slides?

I am going to use some figures from goverment report in my PPT slides. Would you tell me what is the approperiate way to cite them in text? Is that same as in an assey? Do I need to put a reference list at the end of the slides?

Thank you very much.

Hi Chen,

When you say figures do you mean you'll be embedding a table or chart? If so, I'd recommend putting a brief citation below the figures that would include: name of the table or a short description and the source (ie name of the department), and then putting a full citation at the end of your presentation. This is more like adding captions below figures rather than the typical in-text citation.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for the prompt reply! I actually meant to embed some statistics number in text. From your answer, I asume that I should cite it at the end of the sentence as in an assay, in terms of format.
