When searching for text within the Notes field of an EndNote reference, I would like the text that is found to be highlighted.

When searching for text within the Notes field of an EndNote reference, I would like the text that is found to be highlighted. Is this possible in X6?

Thanks Helen, the 'Go To' function will do the trick. And yes, as for all records being highlighted, it would be nice to see this funciton in future EndNote versions.

Hi Jeannette,

I've just done some testing for X6 on our MAC and PC, and I can't see a way to highlight across all your search records, only to highlight terms for each record one at a time.

To do this, run your search and select Notes or Research Notes to see all the records in your library for this term.

Then select a record, open it or preview it, right click in the screen for the pop-up menu options and use Go To. This acts like the Find function in a browser.

Let me know if you need more information! Sounds like this would be a good feature for X7.
