Level of headings

Can you please provide guidance on level of headings for a long document in Harvard format?  I know that APA has strict rules on headings but cant seem to locate any for Harvard.  Thanks

Hi Robyn,

The Harvard UTS style is based on the Australian government's Style Manual for Authors - it's available for loan at the library and can also be found in our reference shelf on level 2. There is a fair bit of information in there on headings, too much to easily summarize here - but you'll find the guidance on pages 137-140 and also 338-341. To my eye the pages 338-341 might be of the most use to you.

If you do have a particular question regarding headings let me know and I'll consult the manual for you and see what I can come up with.

Thanks

David
