The catalogue uses a range of terms to display information about what an item is and where it is located. We've tried to use ‘plain English' for all our messages in the new catalogue, but in case something isn't clear we've included a few definitions below:

• ‘For consideration' and ‘On order' - you may occasionally see these messages in a catalogue record, instead of a Call Number and location statement. This is because the books are currently being purchased but have not yet arrived in the Library.
