Referencing a Council Meeting

Hi,

I was just wondering how to correctly reference a coucil meeting that I attended. Is there a way to reference the meeting or should I reference the minutes which are available online?

Thanks

Hi Lada,

If the minutes of the meeting correspond with the information you want to cite then that is probably ideal as the information can then be verified. If you want to cite something verbally said at the meeting that isn't in the minutes then you'll have to use the convention for 'personal communication' - https://www.lib.uts.edu.au/help/referencing/harvard-uts-referencing-guide/other-sources#personal

Hope this helps, let me know if not
