Hi Rabiul,

I don't think EndNote can harvest full text from a website. The find full text function uses library authentication to look for pdf's which are almost exclusively journal articles with DOI numbers. You can use EndNote online to grab some metadata from a website, such as web page name, accessed date and URL, but the value of this is limited over just grabbing the data manually, especially if you don't usually use EndNote online.

If you need any instructions on using EndNote online to grab metadata from a webpage let me know.

Thanks,

David

If you'd like to perform an operation like this to find journal articles you can. Instead of entering the Western Sydney authentication information in the find full text area of preferences enter this:

In the 'open URL path' box, type this text: http://sfx.lib.uts.edu.au/sfx_local

In the 'authenticate with' url box, type this: http://www.lib.uts.edu.au/auth/login
Then, select the articles you want to search for in full text (eg: ctrl-A) and then right click and choose find full text.
Thanks!

It just might be that the find full text function can't grab this particular article. This is what I got when I tried to find it (please see attachment)

The find full text function doesn't work terribly well in EndNote sadly. It usually only grabs about 10% of the articles it is looking for.

Sorry I can't find a way to attach the screenshot of the EndNote search where it failed to find the full text of your article. I think it's because I'm on the service desk computer here at the library which doesn't have the functionality of my work computer
