Hi Yiwen

Suppose your article page numbers are 207-213 and you want to quote a sentence (or part of a sentence) from page 209.

Your in-text reference would be (Author/s Year, p. 209)

If the sentence goes across two pages, such as 208 and 209, then you would have (Author/s Year, pp. 208-9)

Alternative formats of these (you can use whichever you like, or both in different places) are Author/s (Year, p. 209) and Author/s (Year, pp. 208-9)

Some more information about this can be found here.

Hope this helps

Patrick
