Full stop and names

The other university, the MQU, is accepting that we put no full stop after the initial of their names and still put all their initials together. I like that a lot. We couldn't possibly all do the same and simplify to maximum. It is also more beautiful, aesthetically speaking, in my humblest.

Hi Dr Pinheiro

this is a question of history: when we were developing this style many years ago, based on the Australian Commonweath Style Manual, we had overwhelming preference at UTS for full stops after author initials. So that's the way it's always been here. Other Australian universities use styles based on the same manual, but have also made their own small changes to reflect local preferences.

Hope that's not too disappointing for you!

Regards

Patrick
