Hi Jonathan,

I've had a chat with Meijun and it turns out you can harvest catalogue records for books from our classic catalogue if you use the Mendeley bookmarklet.

As to articles in full text, Meijun says there was a time when you could put our Institutional SFX information into Mendeley to allow scraping of PDF's from Find Articles, but apparently this feature has been redacted. Insted Mendeley now encourages a watch folder solution, where pdf's assigned to a watched folder automatically input into Mendeley, usually bringing Bib info with them. In this way ideally you don't have to download bib records into Mendeley at all.

If you have questions on this perhaps contacting Meijun will give you the most satisfaction :) Meijun.Huang@uts.edu.au

Thanks!

Hi Jonathan,

Sorry to keep you waiting on this answer. We do support Mendeley here at the Library, though sadly we don't have a licence for Mendeley at the Uni, meaning you can't get a free premium account. In terms of the direct export to Mendeley there is a suit of buttons under the share option in the catalogue one of which is a Mendeley share button but it doesn't appear to work. I'm going to ask our Mendeley expert Meijun about this when she comes in and write back to you. Shouldn't be very long.

Thanks,

David
