Collaborative Learning Centre

This training room is primarily used for Library workshops.

Note: The Teamboard is located in a mixed use, multi-purpose room. This means other students may be using the room at the same time as your booking.

    • Preferred options for access to Presentation Lectern computer are flash drive, CD or DVD.

    • VHS and SVHS videocassette recorder/player, TV, video/laptop/audio inputs for portable equipment, document visualiser/single slide viewer, fixed microphone

This room has been set aside to house the following unique collection. Items in the Olympic and Event Studies collection can be searched for on the UTS Library Catalogue.

The main part of the collection consists of:

  • Documents and publications related to SOCOG (Sydney Olympic Committee for the Olympic Games)
  • Post Games Reports from 1908
  • Official result books for the 2000 Sydney Olympic and Paralympics Games
  • Bid books, both successful and unsuccessful, for the Summer and Winter Games
  • 20,000 slides from 1993-2000
  • 200 videos
  • 7 photograph albums
  • Unique material - the post games report from the 1936 Berlin Summer and Winter Olympics are one of our prized possessions
  • Donations from Australian IOC member Phil Coles
  • Kitchenette, 40 inch LCD TV linked to computer, DVD player, overhead projector
  • Theatre style: 20, classroom: 16, reception: 25

The Olympic and Event Studies collection cannot be borrowed, but can be viewed in the library by both UTS staff, students and visitors. The collection is not available via inter-library loan. However, many materials are located in the general collection of the Library for the staff, students and Olympic scholars to borrow.
