InfoScholar

InfoScholar is a resource from the e-Grad School (a collaboration between the Australian Technical Network of Universities) that will help you develop advanced skills in finding and analysing information crucial to successfully completing a research degree. Rather than attempt to cover all research topics and needs, InfoScholar provides information on tools and resources that can easily be adapted to your specific purpose.

InfoScholar is hosted by Queensland University of Technology (QUT). To use it, you must first register with your UTS webmail login and password.

  1. Go to www.qut.edu.au
  2. Click on QUT Blackboard under the Quicklinks
  3. Select the tab Non-QUT users login, then Higher Education Australia
  4. Select University of Technology, Sydney from the menu
  5. You will be sent to a login page - login here with your UTS webmail login and password
  6. If this is your first visit you will need to register for access. You will get the Processing Your Account page, and it will take around 30 minutes to process your details. You only have to do this once. After 30 minutes, repeat steps 1 to 5 above.
  7. Once you have successfully logged in to the ATN Blackboard Home page, click on the InfoScholar link in the My Communities section on the right of the page.

InfoScholar has a number of different modules to choose from and work through at you own pace.
