The Olympic and Event Studies Collection is located on level 5 of the Kuring-gai Campus Library in the Olympic and Event Studies Room.  Items in this unique collection can be searched via the Catalogue.

The main part of the collection consists of:

  • Documents and publications related to SOCOG (Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games)
  • Post Games Reports from 1908
  • Official result books for the 2000 Sydney Olympic and Paralympics Games
  • Bid books both successful and unsuccessful for the Summer and Winter Games
  • 20,000 slides from 1993-2000
  • 7 photograph albums, 200 videos
  • Unique material: the post games report from the 1936 Berlin Summer and Winter Olympics are one of our prized possessions
  • Donations from Australian IOC member Phil Coles

The collection cannot be borrowed, but can be viewed in the library by both UTS staff, students and visitors. The collection is not available via inter-library loan. However, many other materials are located in the general collection of the Library for the staff, students and Olympic scholars to borrow.
