Changes to the UTS Library Catalogue

Going live Monday 18 November

As part of the relocation to UTS Central, UTS Library is upgrading several of its systems including the Library Catalogue. The current catalogue will be replaced with an Alma/Primo VE based system from Ex Libris, a leading international supplier of library solutions.

Our new Catalogue is scheduled to go-live on 18 November, to coincide with the move to the new library (opening in UTS Central on 25 November). For further details on the relocation please visit Key dates for UTS Library relocating to UTS Central.

Some of the new features in the Catalogue are:

Improved access

  • Streamlined searching across print and online resources
  • Clear pathways to subject resources, including ereadings, past exam papers and reserve (high demand) material
  • Improved search results page, with easier to understand options to locate print materials and view online resources

New features

  • Tools to help manage your research - export search results to bibliographic management software
  • Search alerts and the ability to save searches and lists of favourite resources
  • Personalised search results based on disciplinary interests

With the catalogue change, changes will also take place to MyLibrary. These include being able to sign in to your account to keep track of current loans and requests, renew items and pay fines.

All current loans that are due between 11 and 25 November have been extended during the Library’s closure period. Following 18 November most items on loan will auto-renew unless requested by another patron.
