Web resources for critically analysing data:
Data journalism
FiveThirtyEight is the full website version of what started as Nate Silver's blog for the New York Times. Pitching itself as 'data driven journalism', the site provides news, sport, and pop culture features with a data backbone.
Here, journalists from the Guardian dig deeper into the data behind the story. What's really nice about this one is that they will often give you the data they used so you can play with it yourself and build on the story.
