Photography and Situated Media: Articles

In this guide:

Articles via Library Collection

You can search for journal articles via the Library Collection at articles.lib.uts.edu.au

If you are searching via the Library Collection, remember to use the filters on the left-hand side to refine your search to Resource Type > Articles

You can also refine to Availability > Peer-reviewed Journals to search for peer-reviewed journal articles

Articles via Database

You can also search for journal articles via a database. The library has several design & photography related databases.

Use the Find Databases > Design > Top Design Databases page to find databases to search in. Recommended databases to use to find journal articles include:

  • ProQuest The Arts
  • JSTOR
  • Art & Architecture Complete (EBSCO)
In a database, you can refine your search to 'Scholaraly' or 'Peer-reviewed' to find high-quality articles.

Photography Journals

Journal articles can also be found by browsing directly in a journal on your subject/topic area. To find photography journals, search 'photography' in our Journal Search, or use the left-hand navigation to select the category: Arts, Architecture & Applied Arts > Visual Arts > Photography (note: journals are listed in alphabetical order, so scroll beyond the first page).

You can do a search for your topic within a journal, or browse through the available volumes & issues.
