Earth Hour Competition: Protecting our great Aussie food and farmers

This competition has now closed.

Earth Hour in Australia is celebrating Aussie food and farmers this year, reminding everybody of the need to tackle global warming for the sake of our rural communities and our supply of fresh, homegrown food.

Global warming is predicted to reduce Australian food production by at least 15%.

Flooding, drought, fires and changes in our pests and weeds are affecting the farms that produce 93% of the food we eat.

Millions of Australians are expected to take part in Earth Hour at 8:30pm local time on Saturday 28 March. Show your support, too, in cutting carbon pollution for the sake of our food and farmers.

Competition: Contribute to our blackboard mural on Level 2 of the City Campus Library. You could win 1 of 3 x $25 JB HiFi gift cards. A winner will be announced weekly starting on the Monday 9 March and running until Earth Hour (Saturday 28 March). Simply upload your photo to Instagram using #utslibrary and #earthhour to qualify.
