UTS ePRESS book shortlisted for Australian Book Design Awards

Creative Business in Australia

The UTS ePRESS book Creative Business in Australia edited by Lisa Andersen, Paul Ashton and Lisa Colley, has been shortlisted for the Australian Book Design Awards 2016.

Creative Business in Australia is the scholarly work based on selected learnings from the UTS Creative Industries Innovation Centre (CIIC), featuring design and layout by Nicky Hardcastle.

As the largest ever Australian government investment in creative industries development, the Creative Industries Innovation Centre delivered tailored business services to more than 1500 creative businesses from 2009 to 2015 and provided industry intelligence and advice for public policy and peak sectoral activity.

Drawing on six years of professional research, industry expertise and Federal Government support, Creative Business in Australia delivers the latest analysis of Australian creative industries, including advertising, design, marketing, screen, sound, software, music, publishing, performance, events, architecture and visual arts. With case studies, reports, interviews and images, this book provides direct access to business strategies applied to some 1500 businesses, and allows readers, researchers, practitioners, professionals, policy-makers, teachers and students to delve further into the linked CIIC digital archive.

This published and open access book received significant support from UTS Library and the UTS ePRESS team.
