UTS City Campus Master Plan:
Our Changing Campus
exhibition

On display:
UTS Central (Building 2) Level 7
From 26 November 2019 until 9 February 2020

UTS City Campus Master Plan: Our Changing Campus is the premier exhibition in UTS Central's new exhibition space on Level 7. The exhibition showcases the complexity and significance of the UTS City Campus Master Plan through historical artifacts, photographs, plans, videos, architectural processes and models. To mark the opening of the new library at UTS Central in November 2019, this exhibition also celebrates the completion of the UTS Campus Master Plan by looking back at the history of our precinct and the architectural accomplishments of the past decade.

The exhibition follows the journey of the campus redevelopment, from its announcement in 2008 on UTS’s 20th anniversary, to the realisation of the university’s vision for a world-leading campus at the gateway to downtown Sydney. The campus has evolved strategically in conjunction with, and was one of the catalysts for, the City of Sydney’s development of the wider precinct, creating a connected campus with immediate links to industry and the community. Celebrating the development of six distinctive UTS buildings including the newly completed UTS Central, as well as major underground facilities, and a network of revitalised learning and social spaces, the exhibition also documents the development of UTS’ connected campus.

The exhibition, curated by Karina Glasby at UTS Library, offers insights into greater sense of the history of the area and the architectural process of each unique building. It is is on display with public access at UTS Central (Building 2) on Level 7 (just outside the UTS Library entrance) until 9 February 2020.
