Study spaces available in the Reading Room and Library

Take a self guided tour and get to know your Library, now located in UTS Central (building 2).

You can start at the Reading Room entrance which is on level 5 or the library entrance on level 7. There are Book Return Chutes outside both entrances.

Floor Plans are available online for locating books on shelves across the many levels. 

In addition to the many new spaces with great views over the Alumni Green and the Double Helix Staircase, there are a number of different spaces to note: 

Open Group Study Pods (CB02.07.230A, CB02.07.230B. CB02.07.230C and CB02.07.230D) are available on level 7 for you to book for your study group through Book a Room. These are not an enclosed room but are bookable and fitted with an AV screen seating between 4-6 people.

Group Study Rooms of various sizes can be booked for 3 hour timeslots through Book a Room.

Outdoor Terraces located on level 8 are perfect for taking a study or lunch break. A Winter Garden with tables and chairs on level 9 is available for studying in the fresh air.

Assistive Technology Rooms (CB02.08.123 and CB02.08.127) are located on level 8 and are available for students and staff with accessibility needs
Tip: Book CB02.08.127 to use speech recognition software like Dragon naturally speaking through Book a Room

Quiet study spaces are also available in the Reading Room across levels 5 and 6.

UTS Central has pin boards designed for student posters - feel free to use these grey boards located across the various levels. However posters placed outside these designated areas will be removed.
