UPDATE Resolution for Google Scholar

The technical issues with access to Google Scholar have been resolved.  

On campus access: when on campus, you will automatically see the "Full text @ UTS"

Off campus access: you will need to manually add UTS to your Library link settings (see below)

1. Sign in to your Google account (you can use your UTS one if necessary)

2. Go to Google Scholar

3. Go to the menu icon

4. Click on the settings icon on the right hand side

5. Select (1) Library links and (2) type UTS in the search box then (3) tick University of Technology Sydney - Full text @ UTS

When you search for an article in Google Scholar you should now see the option for "Full text @UTS" on the right hand side (see image D below)

Please note you may need to set this up on each different device that you use.

I'm unsure what technical issue with google scholar this refers to (I presume access to full texts). Similar perhaps to Wilhelmina, I have ongoing issues accessing google scholar off campus via UTS proxy. There's an 'invalid database' error.

Hi Ian,

Our IT Manager just tested off campus access with Google Scholar and didn't receive any errors. Next time this happens please provide us with the steps you took and what you were accessing so I can try and replicate the error for our IT Team.

Hi Wilhelmina,

This is a Google restriction and at this time we have no estimated date of when there will be a workaround. Our IT staff are liaising with Google and we still hope for some resolution to this issue. We apologise for any inconvenience.
