Endnote X9.3.1 site installer for macOS 10.15 Catalina

Hi, I've noticed that EndNote X9.3.1 installer is now available for download here: https://support.clarivate.com/Endnote/s/article/EndNote-Installer-download?language=en_US

Will a UTS-authorised version of version X9.3.1 be made available for download?

I updated to macOS Catalina, and then found that I couldn't run the updater software to update version X9.2 to X9.3.1, and so the only bugfix I found is to download the full version from the above URL, install that, and select the 30 day free trial option.

However this will expire in 30 days, so I'm hoping that either I can get the UTS site license key, or that a UTS site installer will become available for download soon.

Is this in the pipeworks anywhere?  :)

Many thanks,

Nicole

Hi Meijun

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried it (completely uninstalled EndNote, from my system, and then run the UTS site licensed installer EndNoteX9SiteInstaller.dmg from here https://itposhare.uts.edu.au/STUDENT/EndNote/Macintosh/Endnote%20X9/ then downloaded the X9.3.1 updater from here http://download.endnote.com/updates/19.0/EndNoteX931UpdateInstaller.zip but I still get the message "This updater was unable to find any copies of EndNote that could be updated to EndNote X9.3.1.

This is even though the description on EndNote's download page says that this installer is "For EndNote X9.3, X9.2, X9.1.1, X9.1 and X9.0" so you'd think it would work, right?

Do you have any other suggestions? And thank you so much for helping. ^_^

Warmly,

Nicole

Hi Ying Ho,

We've had a few people with this problem this week. I've asked that ITD try to make the version of EndNote you download from the Uni website to be X.9.3.1 but until that gets resolved I'll have to ask the people at Crandon who support EndNote in Australia to advise me on the best solution for this problem. I'll reply here when I have it.

Thanks

David

Hi Nicole

Endnote X9.3.1 site installer is not available from the ITD EndNote download site.

If you have installed EndNote X9, you should be able to update to X9.3.1 by Automatically Update or Install manually.

Your computer system has updated to macOS Catalina which is not compatible with EndNote X9.2. My suggestion is to uninstall your EndNote first, then install EndNote X9 again. The new installation may allow you to update to X9.3.1.

If it's still not working, please contact EndNote or/and ITD.

Hope this helps,
