We thank you for your cooperation and look forward to welcoming everyone back later in the year.

UTS Library re-opens

Day visitor, community visitors, alumni, and ULANZ access is unavailable at this time - additional details are available on the Membership page.

Refer to the Opening Hours page for updated information on the Library’s opening and closing times.

UTS Central computer, printing, and study spaces are open - please practice social distancing when in these spaces and around campus.

Online chat and phone service

Our online chat service and phone service 02 9514 3666 are available at the following times during session:

  • Saturday & Sunday: 10am to 6pm

If our online chat and phone service are unavailable and you have any questions, please Ask a Librarian

Borrowing books and laptops

Books may be requested through the Library website and laptops will also remain available. Please allow 24 hours for any collection requests to be completed.

Pick-ups are located in the Reserve area of the Library, level 7 of UTS Central and will be available between 10am and 6pm daily. Only current staff and students will be permitted into this area.

Reserve items and laptop loans have been extended to 24 hours.

Loans and renewals

Existing borrowing periods and renewals apply - renewals will be automatic unless the item is recalled.

Returns can be made to the returns chutes on level 7 of UTS Central (CB02).

The returns chute on level 5 has been closed.

For the health and safety of all Library clients, recalls have been temporarily suspended so that no-one is obligated to travel and return items to campus.

  • You can still place requests on items, however, a change of date will not be triggered, so items will take longer to be returned to the Library.
  • All outstanding recalls have been cancelled. Where possible we are attempting to source e-resources for requested items.
  • Any fines for items that have been incurred from a recall notice will be waived.

Group study rooms

Due to the government social distancing advice all group study rooms are closed until further notice.

Printing in still available on levels 5 and 6 of UTS Central.

Due to the Library's closure print order requests are unable to be delivered and received. All new item requests are being sourced as eResources where possible.
