Join the C.U.L.T
Deborah Kelly, the 2025 UTS Library Creative in Residence, invites you to experience C.U.L.T (Collage Using Library Things)—a project that explores the radical act of reclaiming and reimagining discarded materials.
- Colour Using Library Things: Take some time to relax and colour in discarded books in our passive colouring space outside the Library gates. Your colouring will honour and reimagine what has been discarded, and will eventually be turned into collages as part of Deborah's residency.
- Cut and Collage Using Library Things: We invite you to join us in this series of workshops where you will carefully (or enthusiastically) dismantle and re-curate discarded library books in preparation for their next life as collage.
Submit to the Big Vertigo
The Library's newest interactive craft zone offers students an opportunity to submit a piece of writing or artwork to Vertigo, UTS's student-run magazine. Using supplied materials, write your feelings, thoughts, draw, and cut and paste your work into a physical Big Vertigo—which will then get published at the end of the year. It's time to get crafty, raw and messy!
