Do you want to find the most relevant articles from your search, but don’t want to get too many irrelevant results? Use the advanced features of library databases to search more effectively. This workshop is aimed at those with basic database searching experience who want to take their search skills to the next level.
This workshop will cover:
- Evaluating your search strategy and modifying it to get better results
- Using advanced database features like proximity operators, wildcards, nested searches, field searching techniques
- Using subject headings
- Running advanced searches in key databases
- Locating highly-cited articles in your research area
