Day Visitors

The UTS Reading Room, located across levels 5 and 6 of UTS Central (building 2) is open to members of the public during UTS Library opening hours (registration not required).

Members of the public may request access to the Library as a day visitor by completing the form below no less than two business days prior to your intended visit date. Day visitors have access to the Library’s physical collection and can request items from the Library Retrieval System as well as scan and copy. The following conditions apply to day visitor passes.

Important: Day visitors are unable to access the Library’s electronic collection, computers, WiFi, or printing facilities and no refunds are available for money placed on day visitor cards for copying.

  1. Day visitor passes are limited to 10 requests per person, per calendar year.
  2. Day visitor access is limited to Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays and exam periods).
  3. High School student access is limited to years 11 and 12 only.
  4. Day visitors are unable to loan items.

Library Tours

Tours for UTS Students are conducted throughout the year in conjunction with orientation, subject tutorials, and Library events. Visit the Events page for upcoming dates and more details.

Requests for tours of the UTS Library including the UTS Reading Room and UTS Central may be made for groups of visiting university, government, or industry delegates. Tour requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and are subject to availability. Contact the Library to request a tour.
