Make a Mask

Outside UTS Library, Building 2, Level 7
Hands cutting cardboard with workshop materials such as scissors, glue and cardboard scattered around them

Make a Mask is your excuse to take five minutes (or fifty) and play with cardboard. Grab a blank mask, some tape and scissors, and see what shows up. Led by UTS Library’s 2026 Creative in Residence artist Simon Greiner, this project uses accessible making to spark conversations about identity, belonging, transition and creative agency. It’s an open invitation to play, learn, and build alongside Simon — with cardboard, curiosity, and whatever you bring.

Join Simon for a guided workshop and learn cardboard sculpting techniques using additional tools (including hot glue guns and cutting blades). These sessions are a chance to ask questions, try new methods, and build something more ambitious — no experience needed.

Drop in anytime between 11am - 3pm, no registration needed!
