The Library’s ‘Let’s Learn’ digital skills workshops are designed to meet common digital capability gaps students bring into their subjects. The short, hands-on sessions compliment academic learning, giving students access to expert guidance and practical tips they can apply confidently in their coursework without requiring changes to your curriculum or class time.
Workshops run the from weeks 1-4 of Autumn session, they are delivered by Microsoft and Adobe experts and cover skills such as:
- using Microsoft tools effectively for study, collaboration and productivity,
- creating clear, professional documents and presentations,
- working with data, visuals and digital content for assessments,
- developing creative and visual communication skills using Adobe tools,
- building confidence with digital workflows expected across subjects.

- ensure students receive consistent guidance across subjects.
On-demand support via Study Guides
For students who need just-in-time help, the Library’s Study Guides provide clear, practical guidance they can access anytime. These guides support digital literacy and academic skills development across key areas, including:
- finding and evaluating information,
- referencing and academic integrity,
- using digital tools for study and research,
- understanding and navigating generative AI in an academic context.
Study Guides can be embedded directly into Canvas, giving students direct access to trusted support exactly where questions tend to arise—reducing follow-up queries and one-off explanations.
