Inside the Library on level 7, the former Reserve room is now the Cosy Corner. This space has been transformed with cosy nooks, borrowable fiction books and artwork designed by our very own students. Take some time out to read for fun!
UTS Library will continue to facilitate access to 18 Read & Publish agreements (also known as Transformative Agreements) in 2026. These agreements are negotiated by the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) for institutions in Australia and New Zealand.
Extensive negotiations led by the Council of Australasian University Librarians (CAUL) with publisher Elsevier (hosts of ScienceDirect) have not resulted in an agreement for 2026.
During these negotiations the parties were unable to reach agreement on key commercial terms, including pricing, agreement structure, and the inclusion of gold open access publishing.
We are absolutely ecstatic to announce that applications are now open for UTS Library’s Creative in Residence 2026. The program is now running for its 15th year, and we are calling all creatives to come play with us!
